The History of Pop Tarts:
These delicious breakfast pastries were first introduced back in 1964 and were originally unfrosted. Fortunately, the company maintained testing to determine that a frosted coating could withstand the heat of a toaster and released their first version of a frosted Pop tart in 1967. While originally four flavours of strawberry, apple currant, blueberry and brown sugar cinnamon were only available, the company quickly recognised the potential and now there is a wide selection of flavours including the delectable chocolate.

Chocolate flavour Kelloggs Pop Tarts contain the following ingredients; sugar, wheat flour, palm oil, dextrose, glucose syrup, invert sugar syrup, milk whey powder, wheat starch, reduced fat cocoa powder, raising agents, salt, beef gelatin, modified starch, dried egg white, xanthan gum stabiliser, E150d caramel and titanium oxide colourants, soy lecithin emulsifier, flavouring, niacin, thiamin, riboflavin and folic acid. This product is not suitable for Kosher, Halal, Vegetarian or Vegan diets. It also contains gluten, so is unsuitable for allergy sufferers.
